Our Horses

While we don’t have a lot of horses and colts to sell each year, we are excited of the quality of colts we produced each year.  Our colts definitely have improved the Quarter Horse Breed. Their pedigrees are with Champions in Race, Hall of Fame Horses in the Cutting, Reining, and Working Cow Horse Arena.  They will have make excellent pleasure riding, barrel racing, and working cow horses. After raising them from birth, it’s been hard to part with them, but fact is, we can’t keep them all!

1. Cash’s Peppy By Two, call name “Cash”, a sorrel gelding is 5 Panel “Clear Through Parentage” through Parentage.   Cash is a son of a black stallion, Smoke Em Dash, 15.1 H from Racing and cutting Lines.  Cash’s mother, Villa’s Peppy By Two, a 14.3H daughter of Peppys Wright Stuff, by Peppy San Badger and Miss Cal Sen, Champions in the Cutting, and Working Cow Horse lines, 14.3 H from the working Cow Horse, Cutting lines. Cash’s lines include the famous Miss N Cash, Dash For Cash, Proud Effort, from the Cutting and Racing lines.  We bred Cash’s mom to racing lines to add height, bulk, and color, the result paid off when we got Cash.  Cash is well built, smart, fast learner,with a calm disposition and wanting to please.  On October 15, 2022 , we took Cash to Casey Tipton, an amazing horse trainer/ farrier residing in of Tooele.  After only 15 days of training, Casey had transformed Cash who could stand w/o moving, lead and follow with and without a lead rope, stand while being saddled and bridled with and without being tied. Casey could pick up each of their feet while in a standing position untied in the middle of the round pen and the large pen, amazing ground work!  Casey also rode Cash in a round pen, and in a large riding pen the size of a football field, in a walk, trot, gallop. From galloping, Cash also stopped and stood still, backed quite a ways, and side stepped.  Again, Cash only had 15 days of training, a tribute to Casey’s amazing abilities as a trainer, and also Cash’s breeding, athleticism, smarts, disposition, and willingness to please. Cash probably, needs another month of training.

Because I had difficulties with one of the stallion owners,I could not get him registered, so Cash is sold unregistered.  However, since is has been gelded and can’t be used for breeding, still he has demonstated his outstanding qualities due to his amazing lineage. Again, he is “Clear through Parentage” 5 Panel N/N. He was dewormed in July 2023. Price: $3000

2.“Dry Doc Pep“, call name, “Pep”, a gorgeous black gelding son of Dry Spoeck Dry, 15 H, 5 Panel N/N. a shiny black stallion, grandson of the famous Dry Doc by Doc Bar.  Pep is also son of Miss Peppy Waririor, a daughter of 1986 UT Cutting Futurity Chanpion, Ready San Peppy.   Pep is athletically built, agile, and a quick learner, with a calm, wanting to please, dispostion.  He was taken to Casey Tipton, a horse trainer/ farrier in of Tooele, UT, on Sept.15, 2023.  After only 15 days of training, Casey had Pep standing without moving, leading, and following him with and without a lead rope.  Pep stood while being saddled and bridled with and without being tied. Casey picked up each of Pep’s feet while in a standing position untied in the middle of the round pen and the large pen, amazing ground work wouldn’t you say?  Casey also rode Pep in a round pen, and in a large riding pen the size of a football field, and walked, trotted, galloped Pep.   While trotting and galloping Pep, he instantly stopped and stood still, or stopped and backed, and also side step.  At the end of his 30 day training, Pep did an amazing job, a tribute to Casey’s amazing abilities as a trainer, and also Pep’s breeding, athleticism, smarts, and willingness to please. According to Casey, with more experience, Pep has the makings of becoming a “Kid’s Horse”.

Stallion:    “SMOOTH TOM CAT CHEX”, call name “Smooth”

Smooth Tom Cat Chex is a gorgeous red roan stallion DOB: 5/18/2021.  Smooth, is a son of Tomcat Chex, NCHA World Open Champion, NCHA Res. World Novice Non Pro Champion, NCHA Open Novice National Champion, Cow Palacw Cutting Champion, and is a son of High Brow Cat. Smooth’s Dam is Smooth Cat Boonanza, a blue roan grand daughter of Smooth As A Cat, by High Brow Cat all on Smooth’s pedigree.  Other famous relatives of Smooth include High Brow Hickory, Smart Little Lena, and King Fritz.  

 

 

Mare:      “SMOOTH CAT BOONANZA”,  call name “Cat” 

Smooth Cat Boonanza is a blue roan, grand daughter o Smooth As A Cat, by High Brow Cat.  Other Hall of Fame Cutting Horses on her pedigree are Peptoboonsmal and Dry Doc.  Cat is 5 Panel N/N, 14.3 H.

Mare:     “SHINING BLUEBOONSMAL”,  call name “PEPTO” 

Shininng Blueboonsmal is a blue roan daughter of Judge Boon, earner of $60K in cutting. Judge Boon is a son of the great Peptoboonsmal. Other Hall of Fame horses on her papers include Smart Little Lena and Peppy San Badger. Pepto is 5 Panel N/N, and is homozygous for Black and Roan genes. 

Mare:       “FRENCHMAN SPARK”,  call name “SPARK” 

Frenchmans Spark, call name “Spark”  AQHA, 15 H, 5-Panel “Clear Through Parentage”.  On the top side of her pedigree, Spark is a daughter of Frenchmans Spark, a barrel racer sired by the famous Smoke N Sparks.  On the bottom side, Spark’s mother is a granddaughter of Hall Of Fame, Shining Spark, known for producing cutting, reining, and roping champions.  Spark is a gorgeous girl with an excellent pedigree which combines Speed and Working lines.  As a 2 year old, Spark hurt her front left leg, whch she favors at times. However, we think she’ll make a great broodmare.
